Delete inside Runcina
Export your records first. Permanent account deletion also cancels the linked Runcina subscriptions for eligible businesses you own. If you only want to stop your paid plan and keep your account, use Manage billing in the web app instead.
If you can sign in, the in-app process is the quickest route:
- Open Runcina and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open Settings, then go to Data Management.
- Select Delete Account.
- Review the warning, type DELETE, and confirm permanent deletion.
- If Settings shows Deletion pending, the request is still processing. Keep your account accessible and check its progress in Settings. You can select Retry Account Deletion if needed.
An internet connection and a recent sign-in may be required. Deletion cannot be undone, so export any business records you are required to keep before confirming. The export does not bundle photos or uploaded files: save separate copies before deletion, because links in exported records may stop working afterwards. See data export help.
New changes are paused once your request is accepted. We confirm subscription cancellation before removing business files and records, and remove your sign-in account last. Cleanup waits at least ten minutes for existing operations to finish and retries if a service is unavailable. A pending request is not confirmation that deletion or cancellation has completed.
Permanent deletion cancels the linked subscription immediately rather than waiting for the end of its paid period. It does not automatically issue a refund or settle an outstanding amount. Records held by payment providers may remain.
Request deletion without signing in
Email admin@runcina.app with the subject Runcina account deletion request. Where possible, send from the email address on the account and include:
- the account email address;
- the Runcina business name;
- whether you are an owner, administrator, or member; and
- the statement “I request permanent deletion of my Runcina account.”
Do not include your password, authentication codes, full payment details, or copies of client records. Support will reply with any verification or ownership steps that are required.
If you have a paid subscription and cannot sign in to cancel it, say so in your email and include a receipt reference. Ask for cancellation confirmation before account deletion proceeds.
What is deleted
For an eligible account, Runcina deletes or removes:
- the Firebase Authentication identity used to sign in;
- the user's Runcina profile and user-specific records;
- membership from businesses the user does not own; and
- for an owner of an eligible solo business, that business's Runcina records and stored files, including clients, properties, jobs, photos, quotes, invoices, payments, expenses, settings, and related operational data.
Deleting Runcina data does not automatically delete records held independently by connected services such as Stripe, Xero, Apple, Google, Facebook, an email or SMS provider, or a customer's bank. Contact those providers if you also want to exercise rights relating to their records.
Team businesses and shared records
If you are a member of a business you do not own, account deletion removes your access and account but does not erase shared business records that the business needs to continue operating. The business owner controls those records and should be contacted about correction or deletion of client, staff, or job information.
Owners with team members: Runcina blocks account deletion while you own a business that still has other members. Transfer ownership to another eligible member or remove the remaining members first. This prevents a team from unexpectedly losing its business records.
Information that may be retained
Limited information may be retained where reasonably necessary for tax, payment, fraud-prevention, security, legal claims, dispute resolution, or other legal obligations. Protected backup copies may remain until they expire through normal provider backup cycles. Where practical and legally permitted, Runcina will explain a material retention requirement that applies to an emailed request.
A restricted deletion record keeps the account and billing references needed to finish an interrupted request. After completion, those recovery details are removed and minimal completion and retired-business markers remain to prevent stale sessions or delayed service events from recreating deleted records.
Verification and timing
In-app deletion begins after the user confirms the request. For emailed requests, we aim to complete deletion within 30 days of receiving your request, after verifying your identity and authority. We will meet any shorter deadline required by applicable law.
We will notify you when deletion is complete. If information must lawfully be retained or a delay is legally permitted, we will explain why and any next steps within the applicable response deadline.
Runcina may ask for reasonable information to confirm control of the account or authority to delete a business. We will never ask for your password. Questions can be sent to admin@runcina.app.
