A round that works for you
How to plan recurring lawn care jobs
- Choose your starting week. Set a daily capacity that leaves room for breaks, loading and the unexpected.
- Add the first visit for each customer. Choose weekly, every two weeks, monthly or a one-off visit. Include time for mowing, edging and cleanup, plus each visit’s share of travel.
- Check the next eight weeks. Look for overloaded days. Change a first visit date to move that job’s recurring pattern, then rebuild the schedule.
- Keep the plan or put it to work. Print all eight weeks without an account. Save to Runcina when you’re ready to manage real customers, properties and jobs.
A simple mowing round example
Suppose two weekly lawns each take 45 minutes, with 15 minutes of travel allocated to each. A fortnightly garden takes 90 minutes plus 20 minutes of travel. At $70 per lawn and $120 per garden visit, eight weeks would contain 20 visits, 23 hours and 20 minutes of work and travel, and $1,600 before tax and expenses.
The example uses AUD and assumes all visits go ahead. The planner uses your prices and time estimates, with no assumed market rate. If your busiest day exceeds your capacity, move a first visit to a quieter day and rebuild.
Weekly, fortnightly and monthly schedules
Weekly visits repeat every seven days; fortnightly visits every 14 days. Monthly visits repeat one calendar month after the previous visit. If the next month has fewer days, the date moves to its last day. For example, 31 January becomes 28 February in a non-leap year, then 28 March. This matches how Runcina schedules the next visit after job completion.
Dates are calendar dates, so a daylight-saving change does not move a visit to another day. Weekends are included. The planner does not automatically move visits for public holidays, weather, customer availability or route distance.
Common questions
Can I use the planner without signing up?
Yes. Build, edit and print your schedule for free. An account is only needed when you choose to save the jobs in Runcina.
Does it optimise my driving route?
No. Enter a realistic travel allowance for each visit. This planner helps balance the days in your round; it does not calculate road distances, traffic or the best stop order.
Are the revenue totals profit?
No. They are projected service revenue before tax and expenses. Allow for wages, fuel, equipment, weather cancellations and other costs separately.
What happens when I save to Runcina?
After login or signup, review the jobs and add any missing service addresses. You can select existing customers and properties. Saving creates one pending visit per job with its recurrence rule. The future calendar occurrences remain a projection, so they do not all consume active-job slots.
Does sharing include my customer details?
No. The share buttons send a link to the empty public planner. Names, addresses, dates and prices in your plan stay private. Printed documents contain the details you entered, so review them before sending them yourself.
