Runcina for lawn care businesses

Schedule lawn care jobs from ChatGPT or Claude

When a regular customer asks for an extra mow, bring their request into the chat you already use. Runcina finds the property and prepares a job with the work, date, duration and price. Review it once, then add it to your schedule.

One extra visit

From a customer’s text to a job on the mowing schedule

Suppose Sam texts, “Can you mow and edge the rental at 14 Wattle Street this Friday before the inspection?” Sam has two properties on your books. You know this one takes 45 minutes. Bring the request into chat and add the detail you know:

“Use Sam’s message above to draft a 45-minute mow and edge at the rental. Use the property’s usual price.”

The connector looks up Sam in Runcina and lists the linked properties. If the name or address is ambiguous, choose the right match in chat. If the date or duration is missing, supply it before drafting.

Example draft for review

Customer and property
Sam Smith · 14 Wattle Street
Visit
Friday, 6 November 2026 · 45 minutes
Work
Mow and edge the rental lawn
Price
AUD 85.00, from the saved property in this example

Open the review link, check the address, date and price, then choose Confirm and book job. The visit appears in Runcina as a one-time, unassigned job. You can assign it to the crew in Runcina.

How to connect ChatGPT to Runcina

Start with a verified Runcina owner or admin account and a customer with a saved property. Both chat platforms use the same Runcina MCP server. MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, the connection that lets your chat look up records and prepare a draft.

  1. Open Runcina Chat connections and copy the server URL.
  2. In ChatGPT on the web, open Plugins and choose Add custom MCP server. Name it Runcina, paste the URL, and select OAuth with dynamic client registration.
  3. Create and install the plugin. Sign in to Runcina, approve the connection for your business, then select Runcina in your chat and ask for a draft.

If your workspace hides custom plugins, ask your administrator to enable them. OpenAI’s custom MCP server guide.

How to connect Claude to Runcina

  1. Copy the server URL from Runcina Chat connections. In Claude’s connector settings, add a custom web connector named Runcina and paste the URL.
  2. Choose Register automatically for the OAuth client. Sign in with your verified Runcina owner or admin account and approve access.
  3. Enable Runcina for your conversation and ask Claude to prepare a job for an existing customer. On a team workspace, an administrator may need to add the connector before you can sign in.

Two prompts for real booking decisions

One customer, several properties

“Show me the properties for Sam Smith so I can pick the rental. Then draft a one-hour hedge trim there for next Tuesday.”

An agreed price for extra work

“Draft a 90-minute spring clean-up at Lee’s usual property on Friday. We agreed on $140 for this visit. Include green waste removal in the job notes.”

The saved property price is the default. When you give the chat a different agreed price, check that amount on the review screen before booking.

What can I book through the chat connector?

Can I create a customer, schedule a recurring round or assign a crew?

The connector drafts one-time visits for existing customers and properties. For a new address, first add the customer and property in Runcina. Use Runcina for recurring mowing schedules and crew assignments.

What if the customer changes the date or price?

Before booking, tell the chat what changed and ask for a revised draft. Confirm the revised link in Runcina. Each review link lasts 24 hours. If it expires, request a fresh one. If you already booked the visit, update the job in Runcina.

What information does the chat receive?

The connected chat can receive matching customer names, property addresses, the draft details and the review link. Runcina receives the details needed for the lookup or draft. Each person authorizes their own account and can revoke access in Settings → Integrations → Chat connections. See how Runcina handles business information.
